Michigan law may allow an injured person to seek compensation from legally responsible parties. Depending on the circumstances, recoverable losses could include medical expenses, future medical treatment, lost wages, reduced earning capacity, physical pain and suffering, emotional and psychological harm, scarring or disfigurement, disability, and other legally recoverable losses.

Every case is different. Injury severity, available evidence, responsible parties, insurance coverage, and the effect on the injured person's life can all matter, and claims may be disputed.
