Disability Rights Michigan is the state's protection and advocacy organization. It works on abuse and neglect in institutional settings, access and accommodation, and the rights of people with disabilities across services and employment.
They do not take walk-ins. Call, or use the confidential request-for-help form on their site, and describe the situation and what outcome you are looking for.
Not every request becomes a case. The organization sets priorities each year, and some requests are answered with information and a referral instead of representation. That is still worth having.
