Court self-help

Oakland County Legal Self-Help Center

Court forms, self-help resources and remote navigators for people handling a civil matter without an attorney in Oakland County.

Run Point.

What it is

Oakland County's self-help centre gives people without a lawyer access to court forms, written resources, and navigators who can be reached remotely rather than only in person.

What they can do

Help you find and complete the right public form, explain what a filing step involves, and point you at the tools the court provides.

What they cannot do

They cannot advise you on your case or represent you, and a navigator's help is not legal representation.

Staff and navigators explain procedure and provide public forms. They cannot give legal advice or represent a party.
