Wayne County
Court self-help
Self-help assistance and procedural information for people handling a civil court matter without a lawyer. Open to anyone, regardless of income.
Run Point.
The Third Circuit is the court where civil cases over $25,000 arising in Wayne County are filed. Its Self-Help Center exists for people who are handling a case without a lawyer and need to understand the procedure.
Explain how a step works, point you to the correct public form, and help you use the tools that are available. That is genuinely useful when the obstacle is not knowing what happens next.
Court staff cannot tell you what to do in your case, cannot say whether you will win, and cannot represent you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not court staff.
Open to any Michigan resident, not only Wayne County, with no income requirement and no time limit per visit. Staff provide guidance, court forms and referrals, not legal advice or representation.
