YWCA Greater Flint runs SafeHouse, the emergency shelter for Genesee County, alongside a crisis line answered at any hour and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
They also coordinate a local Sexual Assault Response Team, which matters in the hours after an assault, when a medical examination and a decision about reporting are both on the table at once.
